Mobile Phones, Cordless Phones & PDA's
Mobile Phones and digital (DECT) cordless phones and PDA’s all emit microwave radiation.
Mobile Phones: Many people have heard that there are concerns about using mobile phones, but aren’t sure of exactly how they can affect their health.
Some people are well aware of the health concerns around mobile phones – but have no idea that the same concerns apply to
their cordless phones at home.
Mobile phones and cordless phones emit microwave radiation – into your head when you place the phone against your ear during a call.
If you carry the phone around on you when you’re out, then the radiation is also being emitted into your body.
Cordless Phones: Many new generation cordless phones are far more powerful than mobile phones. Digital cordless phones (DECT) also emit microwave radiation throughout your house.
Having a DECT phone at home is like having your own personal mobile phone transmitter right inside your own home.
PDA’s: Mobile Phones have now evolved into PDA’s – Personal Digital Assistants. These are also known generically as small computers,
hand-helds, palms, and palmtops, or by brand names such as.Blackberry or Treo.
PDA’s also emit microwave radiation. But – when they are downloading information – they also emit enormously powerful fields of magnetic radiation as well. This is particularly hazardous to health if you carry the PDA around on your body.
Recent research has found that microwave radiation used in mobile and cordless phones can lead to:
 • brain tumours
• changes in brain activity (measured on an EEG)
• damage to DNA
Here are just some of the health concerns that are linked to exposure to the microwave
radiation from these phones:
• lack of concentration
• problems sleeping
• headaches
• fatigue
• memory problems
• fertility problems
• immune system conditions
• more serious health issuesup to and including
• brain cancer
